You are a man so I can see why you cant see her reasoning behind it. She moved here from another country, she took the attention given to her by these boys as a welcome relief. At that age any attention is good attention, especially if its from a boy! It is obvious that these two boys took advantage of the fact that they knew she felt displaced and she would be an easy target foe affection.
