You're confusing two separate questions Generic Tadalis Sx. Obviously, NPR had the right to fire Williams for flouting his employment agreement. The question is whether his admission of prejudice provides independent justification.
Kenneth, I have to agree. I'm ideologically liberal, but I've been really frustrated by the incredibly dumb arguments on both sides of this issue.
Oh, good grief. He said the same thing Jesse Jackson already said about young, black males.
Give me a break. "Explaining" isn't the same as "justifying."
Saletan seems to forget that NPR didn't fire Williams based solely on this one incident. Williams had a history of flouting his responsibilities and agreements as an employee of NPR. They tolerated it for some time and finally fired him. All this tedium over Williams' comments with O'Reilly on Fox does nothing to change that buy Generic Tadalis Sx.
He said Muslims that self-identify as Muslims frighten him. In other words, being devout is bad. Imagine if you'd said that about Catholics. There's nothing wrong with being devout in *any* religion.
Williams does justify his fear by stating that "I don't think there's any way to get away from these facts." The so-called facts justify the fear . There is no basis for comparing Sherrod and Williams. One is supposedly a journalist; the other isn't. The correct comparisons are to Sanchez and Thomas.
Why am I still reading this blog when Coates and Sullivan appear to have correctly diagnosed the problem and you haven't? Gotta remedy that.
Bill, I haven't agreed with you much recently, but I do think you got a bad rap from Sullivan.
>>What an odd reading of Mr. Williams' statement. Mr Williams wasn't just "nervous" at the sight of people in clothing he considers Muslim, he was worried also. <<Last I checked, "nervous" and "worried" are adjectives buy Tadalis Sx.
The bottom line is that is Mr. Saletan would not be wasting a drop of ink over this issue had Williams made a similar comment about blacks or Jews. There's a double-standard out there that it's okay to make bigoted comments about Muslims, but you will get fired when you make the same comments about other groups. NPR finally recognized this.
Who cares?as someone who listens to and supports NPR from time to time, i do. NPR treated this in the same stifling, corporate, PC way most American corporations do, and the CEO comes on as closed-minded jerk
but didn't she said that in the context of another bizarre statement/action from the senator regarding AIDS? as well as in this case Tadalis Sx 20mg, context and the full exchange matter.some of senator Helms actions throughout his career were beyond bizarre, they were cruel and paranoic IMO.i am 100% behind Mr. Saletan and against the firing not because of legal aspect but because it's stupid, supressing free exchange of thought and opinions.
he has no grounds for complaint...Williams has grounds for a lawsuityou guys are really depressing, talking in pure lawyerese, as if this is the only aspect we should care about, and oh BTW this article does not deal with the legal aspect at all if you didn't notice.a smart CEO would not fire Williams, but use this opportuinity to have a buy Tadalis Sx live on-air debate about the subject, raking high rating plus, maybe, just maybe, educate people a bit better. oh well...
I find it so incredibly sad that since these people aren't hardcore right-wing locksteppers they some how don't 'deserve' the title of conservative. Saletan, Williams, and plenty others can and SHOULD be called conservatives for their center-right beliefs if just to show that foaming at the mouth bible thumping is not the only right-ward path.
Williams's sin against NPR wasn't what he said but where he said it Tadalis Sx 20mg.
Who cares? Certainly not Mr Williams who is laughing all the way to the bank, along with FOX. He obviously didn't say what he said in a mean spirited "racist" intention, just admitting a sentiment. And isn't anything important going on in the world?
